Interfaith Baccalaureate

In 2018 our Sprayberry High School’s Baccalaureate was facing the possibility of being terminated due to new guidelines from Cobb County as to how it could be run and organized. The Sprayberry Foundation volunteered to take over the planning and orchestrating of the event. Due to the sheer diversity of our amazing school, we decided to open up what is a traditionally Christian ceremony to the other main religions celebrated at Sprayberry. In 2021 we hosted our first ever Interfaith Baccalaureate (one of the only ones in the nation) and it was amazing! It was outside in the parking lot of Unity North Atlanta, and we had representatives from four major religions as speakers. In Spring of 2022 we had our 2nd Annual Interfaith Baccalaureate on the campus of Kennesaw State University with the same four major religions represented. Our number of graduates doubled from the previous year, and we look forward to this happening every year. We were covered by the Marietta Daily Journal and the Cobb County Courier which garnered us nationwide news attention! It is such a blessing to be able to come together each Spring in peace and harmony to celebrate the diverse faith journeys of the graduating Seniors! We look at this time as being able to welcome all religions and walks of faith equally and share inspirational messages for all graduates whether secular, spiritual or religious. We invite you to attend and see what exactly we are creating with this wonderful and unique Interfaith Baccalaureate ceremony!

Sprayberry Trunk-or-Treat Community Festival takes place in October each year.

You’ll find festival food, a huge kid zone, spooky attractions, costume contests, and entertainment.

The highlight of the event is an opportunity for kids to go trunk-or-treating — collecting candy from the trunks of decorated cars in the parking lot.

The event is FREE to attend, but the Kid Zone costs $10 for unlimited rides on interactive inflatables — including giant slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, jumping pillows, and more.

Be sure to come in costume — and compete for prizes in various categories in the costume contest.

Local school choruses and choirs will perform on stage.

It all takes place at the Sprayberry High School football field and stadium area, located at 2525 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA, 30066

Parking is FREE at the school and surrounding areas.

Refuge Rescue Dog Adoption at Sky Zone

Refuge Rescue is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 charity and dog rescue group founded in August of 2015. We rescue dogs of all breeds and all ages. Our organization is located in Woodstock, Georgia and we adopt our dogs to pre-approved homes within a 50 mile radius of our rescue.

F.A.Q.

I base my selection on what the greatest need is for the Community and groups around me at the time.

It all depends on your Craft.  We only accept those who make their own crafts (no direct sales or resell companies) and we are always looking for unique items.  We usually have about 20 available spaces each year and over 100 people apply so you need to stand out in a crowd so to speak.

We base our volunteer selection on each individual event so there are no real cut and dried rules so to speak.  The youngest we will accept however is 8th grade.

There are dogs of every size, shape, temperament and breed that need rescuing in the northern Atlanta area and we do not discriminate.  We base our decisions on what case load we can handle at any given time.

We have representatives from Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Hinduism.
